Welcome to Karton Trade d.o.o. (kartontrade.com). We are committed to delivering your orders securely, efficiently, and transparently. This Shipping Policy explains our shipping procedures, delivery timelines, costs, and terms.

By placing an order on our e-commerce store, you agree to the terms outlined below. All operations are managed from our central headquarters and warehouse facilities located in Zagreb, Croatia.

2. Order Processing Time

  • Standard Processing: All orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days (excluding weekends and Croatian public holidays) after we receive your order confirmation and cleared payment.
  • Peak Seasons: During high-volume periods, such as holidays or major sales events, processing times may be extended by an additional 1 to 2 business days.
  • Shipping Notification: You will receive a separate confirmation email containing your tracking information once your package has been handed over to our courier partners.

3. Shipping Destinations

We ship domestically within Croatia and internationally across the European Union (EU) and selected global destinations.

  • Domestic Shipping: Covers all regions of mainland Croatia and inhabited islands.
  • International Shipping: Available to EU member states and a growing list of non-EU countries.
  • P.O. Boxes: Please note that we do not ship to P.O. Boxes, military addresses (APO/FPO), or parcel lockers due to courier restrictions and security requirements. A valid physical residential or business address must be provided during checkout.

4. Shipping Methods, Costs, and Delivery Estimates

We partner with reliable courier services (including DHL, DPD, GLS, and Croatian Post) to offer you the best delivery experience. Shipping costs are calculated dynamically at checkout based on the package weight, dimensions, and destination.

Domestic Shipping (Within Croatia)

  • Standard Delivery: 2 to 4 business days.
  • Express Delivery: 1 to 2 business days (available for select urban areas).
  • Island Delivery: Delivery to Croatian islands may require an additional 2 to 3 business days depending on local ferry schedules.

European Union (EU) Shipping

  • Standard Euro-Parcel: 3 to 7 business days.
  • Express Euro-Parcel: 2 to 4 business days.

International Shipping (Outside the EU)

  • Global Standard: 7 to 15 business days.
  • Global Express: 4 to 9 business days.

Please note that delivery timelines are estimates provided by the couriers and are not strictly guaranteed. Remote areas may require additional transit time.

5. Tracking Your Shipment

  • Tracking Numbers: Every order shipped from our warehouse includes full online tracking.
  • How to Track: Once your order leaves our facility, we will email you a tracking link. You can click the link or paste the tracking number directly into the courier’s official portal to monitor your delivery status in real-time.
  • Data Delays: It may take up to 24 hours for the courier website to update the tracking information after the label is generated.

6. Customs, Duties, and Taxes

  • EU Customers: For orders shipped to addresses within the European Union, European Union Value Added Tax (VAT) is calculated and included in the total price at checkout. No additional customs duties apply upon cross-border transit within the EU.
  • Non-EU Customers: For orders shipped to countries outside the European Union, the buyer acts as the importer of record. You may be subject to local import taxes, customs duties, and brokerage fees levied by your destination country.
  • Payment Responsibility: All extra charges for customs clearance are the sole responsibility of the customer. Karton Trade d.o.o. has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely; please contact your local customs office for details.

7. Delivery Failure and Wrong Address Policy

  • Customer Responsibility: It is the customer’s absolute responsibility to provide a complete, accurate, and valid delivery address, along with an active phone number and email address, at the time of purchase.
  • Incorrect Information: If a package cannot be delivered due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer, or if the customer refuses to accept the delivery, the package will be returned to our warehouse in Zagreb.
  • Return Fees: In such cases, the customer will be responsible for the original shipping costs, any return shipping fees charged by the courier, and any storage fees incurred. If you request a reshipment, you must pay the new shipping charges before we send the package again.

8. Missing, Lost, or Damaged Shipments

We take great care in packaging your orders safely, but transit incidents can occasionally occur.

  • Damaged Packages: If your package arrives with visible exterior damage, please report this immediately to the delivery driver and note it on the delivery receipt before signing. Contact us at briar@kartontrade.com within 48 hours of delivery with detailed photographs of the damaged packaging and items.
  • Lost Shipments: If your tracking link shows no updates for more than 7 business days past the expected delivery date, please reach out to our team. We will open an official investigation with the courier service. Investigation processes can take between 5 to 14 business days. No replacements or refunds will be processed until the courier officially declares the package lost.

9. Shipment Delays Beyond Our Control

Karton Trade d.o.o. is not liable for unexpected delivery delays caused by events outside of our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to: severe weather conditions, natural disasters, customs delays, labor strikes, global health emergencies, or widespread courier sorting facility disruptions. We will always do our best to work with the logistics networks to get your parcel delivered as fast as possible.
